Reimagined the browse-and-checkout interface for a local goods marketplace, balancing seller storytelling with fast, legible purchasing screens.
The work
Process
Ran a tree test to fix a confusing category structure, then wireframed and designed a streamlined three-step checkout. Validated the high-fidelity screens with moderated tests and an unmoderated preference study.
Outcome
Checkout drop-off improved measurably in beta, and sellers completed onboarding in under ten minutes on average — down from a fragmented multi-day process.
